Roslyn Village
Dunedin's Roslyn Village, in the Roslyn commercial centre on Highgate, is quickly becoming a hub for healthcare providers in Dunedin.
Dentistry on Highgate and Hauman Endodontics have recently moved into the hub joining the long-standing Roslyn Pharmacy and Roslyn Physiotherapy.
The village has really come to life again with the new occupants and it is great to have this hub where people of Dunedin can come for specialised healthcare advise and treatment.
Roslyn Pharmacy has been based in Roslyn Village for the past 12 years, continuing a long tradition. There has been a pharmacy in the village for over 125 years.
The pharmacy offers lots of different services but what the pharmacists love doing is taking time out of the dispensary, helping their patients and taking time to give the
customers information and knowledge to maximise their health outcomes.
Amy Hou said that when she trains new team members she likes to tell them they often only have 10 minutes at the most to make their patients get the most out of their medicines and supplements so it is important to make the most out of every encounter.
To add to the experience is Liz, the in-house Natural Health Consultant with a background as a registered nurse, certified massage therapist and Reiki master. With her passion and proven experience using natural health solutions with medical treatment, you will be in excellent hands.
Liz offers private consultations on Saturdays between 10am and 3pm - appointments are necessary as these are very popular.
The team in the pharmacy help lots of different patients for a variety of reasons who are always better off when they leave, but it is important for people to follow the recommendations given.
Andrew, Amy and the team are always happy to help, whether it is a casual chat to reassure you or a private consult to figure out a better way. The doors are always open for you, ready for you to take action.
Dr Mike Smith, owner of Dentistry on Highgate said Roslyn is a "great family location'' with good access to the city and surrounding suburbs.
"Roslyn Village is an excellent site with good parking and a nice mix of health-related colleagues. We're looking forward to working in a purpose-built facility and operating from a new location in a bustling commercial centre among other healthcare providers.''
The business offers a full range of services and employs dental therapists, hygienists, dentists and dental specialists.
Tina Hauman of Hauman Endotontics moved into the Roslyn Community in January. Tina, who was previously based on London street, has practised as a specialist in Dunedin for nine years.
She is a referral-based dental specialist (endodontist) and has "felt very welcome joining the Roslyn Village'' and is enjoying bing part of the `Healthcare Hub'.
